Note from Roemer: We began the daily log on November 9th, 1999. The latest date is at the top. Usually, each PB writes a daily summary. We'll post one here as often as possible. When there's time in class, the PB's will be doing the HTML (and lately the pictures) as well. I don't edit these (but might add a comment now and then), so proceed at your own risk.

 | the dare winner!!! |
The D.A.R.E Graduation was today, if you missed, that is your loss! We came in, sat down, packed up and then got ready for middle school days. All I said all day was " I can do it!"
Once I got to Ms. Romanski's class, we had t owork on locks, once again, but this time it was a little different. We played a game to see who could unlock the lock in 1 minute. (Group 3 won!) Then the bell rang and we had to pack up and go to Mrs. Morea's class. In Mrs. Morea's class we had to turn in our Limericks homework, adnn then we had to polish it. We wrote it, and then we had to draw a picture. Then we had to pack up, after a few kids read their's of course, and then we went to our math class. We had a teacher nobody knew, but he was Mrs. Milbourn's substitute's substitute, he is a math teacher now, but we learned about how to use caculators. We used one of the biggest caculators we could have had at our school. They saved the meanest teacher for last!
We next had a dangerous science lesson, taught by Mr. Roemer. We had to go outside so Mr. Roemer could teach us about air. Then we came back, and we learned about how airplanes fly, it was actually kind of funny. Then the bell rang and we left.
We had to come back and work on our math workshet, but we were allowed to work in pairs. Then we had to go to lunch.
In lunch we had to either have Chicken, or chicken, or chicken, or salad, or chicken, or a sandwich, and milk, and a cookie. Then we were able to eat and talk, but either way we still had fun. Once we came back we had freetime.
Not the free time like we have in the class, but 5th grade free time, we were outside for an half of an hour. Then we had to come back and write.
We had to write an autobiograghy about Mr. Roemer's life (sounds boring! ~bpb), it was easy, but we didn't finish. We will work more on it tommorrow. Then we had to put it away and go to our DARE GRADUATION!!
In the Dare Graduation Officer Hicks came up and talked, and then we had to read our DARE ESSAY. Each class had one person go up and read their Dare Essay, who was me in this class, and in other classes it was different people, but we ate cake, and then we drank mountain dew, and then went to P.E.
During P.E. I wrote the log, and then I wrote the log some more, and some more, but then the class came back. Once the class came back, we read our auto biography, which were all very nice. Then we went home and left Roemer behind, what an oldey, but it will do!! (I may be old, but I'm still too smart for you, SGF! ~bpb)

TOMMORROW, is the D.A.R.E. Graduation!! Middle School, already? Oh my Gosh, I didn't think the summer went by so quick, but we still have the same teachers. We hdidn't have SFA once again, but we did have to go to Middle School boy they were easier than I thought. Instead of coming in and unpacking, we had to pack up, so nobody would take anything out of our desk. Then we had to go to our 1st through 4th middle school class.
I had Ms. Romanski, then Mrs. Morea, (limericks homework tonight) and then Morgan, and finally Roemer. (Why the wind is not) (hw) Well, Ms. Romanski, we had practical knowledge, we had to use locks, and 2nd Mrs. morea, we learned about limericks, and 3rd, Mr. Morgan, we did a math game, and last, Mr. Roemer, we had to learn what made the wind. Some of the class went to different teachers, for different periods, but only 5th graders were included in this activity. Every kid had every 5th grade teacher in the school. Then the airplane bell(Mr. Roemer said "It sounds like we are in a airplane, so buckle up!") rang and we had lift off for our next class.
We finally were able to go to our homeroom class, and get ready for lunch, what a day
so far!! At lunch there was Chicken Patty
on a bun, milk, cookie, salad, and a little
friut cup. Then we went to the playground
by the K-Pod to play on the jungle gym, and then we had to leave to come back to the class to do our hero oral report.
As of today there are two A's in this class, so far, but everybody did a great job, and if they are telling the truth, I really want to know their heros. Then we had to call our parents if we didn't have it in, but if we had it in we had freetime, and if we didn't have it in we had to start a new prese, during P.E. we stayed in to do the daily log, hope you read this!! The class isn't back, but they are going to come back.
If I chose the best teacher it would be.. it would be.. well, nobody, you would be a better teacher than Roemer!! Just Kidding, he is great!!

WHY, Why is the weekend already over? (Wait a minute, that's my line! ~bpb) Hey at least we don't have SFA! Today we came in, read our PB WEEKLY and then started one of our worksheets, but of course we unpacked first. Then we had to stay in the classroom and do a lesson.
We had to do a lesson on math, we haven't done that in a long time! We had to do percentage and decimal. (For example, 5% of(x) 100=, first you have to change of into multiplecation, then you say 5% also equals, .05, so then you mutiply 100 x .05.) We finally did something we were all wasiting for, I will give you one word, oral!
We had to give our oral report, one person got an A, but everybody did a great job. The person who got an A was Boof. You can re do the oral report if you want, not everybody didi the report today! We all found a certain thunderstorm in our stomach.
We had chicken nuggets, noodles, milk, cookie, and a fruit like always. Then after we ate, we were able to talk. We could talk about anything allowed in school. After we ate, we were allowed to play out on the playground for a little, but the fun had to stop because we had another lesson.
This lesson time we had to learn about not math, but thunderstorms. We didn't learn about thunderstorms, we learned about thunderstorm safty. During a thunderstorm, when you are outside, you shouldn't sit under a tree or anything tall, you should stay on the ground, because lightning is lazy. You stand on your tippy toes, and squat down.
We had to writen a ten minute play, and then we had to watch everybodys, they were all hillarious. Then we had freetime until music.
We had to pack up and go to music. (OK, you're right, that's not funny! ~bpb)

 | ready for middle school |
Finally the weekend!! What is Doofus?? Most of us came in, and unpacked, but didn't get ready for SFA, beause there is no more SFA, for the rest of our life! Well, now that that tragic, horrible moment is over, let's get on to the test.
Only certain students took the test, there were 4 that were supposed to go, but only 2 did. One was in trouble, the other was leaving for something about her middle school. The two that did go, had to do 54 questions, but they were all very simple. When I came back I didn't know what was happening, but we were doing towers. Then we had to end the towers for lunch, and one very tall one fell.
Pizza Day!! In lunch we had to have pizza, fish,a milk, and a fruit. We ate, and then we were able to talk. The class was very good, so we were able to go on the playground. We went out to the playground as an extra treat. We played tag, or we could have just hung around. We finally had to go from the heat into the nice cold classroom.
Now, I can tell you about the doofus. I was finally filled in, doofus is a game, I thought there was a doofus in our class. What you have to do is, you get a bouncy ball, and a hula-hoop, then you bounch in the hula-hoop and hit it to the other person, you can only hit the ball once. Then we were able to go to P.E, even though it wasn't our day.
We had to play doofus at first, but then we could play guard the ball, or kickball and of course doofus! I played Kickball, and I think we lost, we were playing 4th graders and 5th grader mix. Then we came back and the class was able to play and as usual I wrote the log.
The day was simple, and by the time you read this, the weekend wiil be <>^(here.). We had fun and we learned how to play doofus, but there was some math in it, Just kidding, that wouldn't be a game. Roemer this time I can say I am staying home tommorrow, but it wouldn't be true, I have to go somewhere tommorrow. Uh, can I ever stay home, just one day, just one day!! (You stayed home one day last year, SG. What more do you want? ~bpb)

One more day left of SCHOOL until the Weekend!! "Why" came out of a lot of kids mouth today, because once we arrived at school today, we had to sit outside. What a tragedy, we had to sit outside like a regular class, even though Mr. Roemer knows we are aliens. We had an OK beginning of the day, but then, we had to go to SFA. That was the worst part of the day.
In S.F.A., we had to finish up the book "Volcano" and we had to write down words that we didn't know and we had to write down questions so we could play "Stump the Class." We played "Stump the Class" and nobody stumped the class because everybody knew all the answers to the questions, even though they were all very hard questions. Mr. Roemer gave us questions and we got them, too. We were on a roll until the bell rang and we had to "get out of here," as Mr. Roemer always says.
Then we talked about studing and did a math worksheet. We worked until lunch, but after we finished we had to play flashcards or talk. We played flashcards. I was score keeper. Then we had to go to lunch.
In lunch, all we did was talk, and some of us ate. Only some of us ate because the food was so discusting. We had hot dogs, rice, chicken pieces, and/or a cookie. The only thing that was good was the cookie and that wasn't even really good. After lunch, we came back and did the test from Fort Desoto. We also talked a bit.
The test was on our vocabuabulary test. Mr. Roemer said the definition, and then we had to write the word and spell it right. Then we had to write. Yeepie for us!!
We had to write about rumers. We either wrote about what you can do to prevent rumers, or a story with a message. I wrote an essay. We didn't get to finish so we do have homework. (except SLD.) Some started cheering, because it was P.E.Time!
As usual, Small A and myself satyed in to inform you on what happened today, so you better appreciate it! Then we sat and we sat hoping the day would soon be over.
The day was a long dragging day, but we all survived it!! Oh yes, I almost forgot the daily real! Roemer if you don't mind, Small A and I will stay home tommorrow and take the rest of the year off! OK, OK we have talked it over, and we might come if you really need us! (Wait eight more school days - then I'll give you permission to take the rest of this school year off. ~bpb)

We were at Fort Desoto all day today. The PB's didn't have time to do the log.
We really had fun! I am very proud of the way the class behaved - very proud. Way to go, PB's! - Mr. Roemer.
When the pics are posted, they'll be here:

They won't be ready until 7:30 this evening, though.

One more day til' Fort Desoto, I can't wait! We had an almost perfect day, but come to think of it, no day is ever perfect. Today we came in thinking the day was going be boring, but once we got here we remembered we are Polar Bears, and everyday is fun. Once we came in, we unpacked, and then we had to get ready to go to SFA. We had to leave, most of us, but some were lucky enough to stay in the class with Roemer.
In SFA, we had to read, that is a DUH, seems how it is a reading class. Today we had to read out of the book Volcano. We had to read chapter 3 and 4, but first M&M had to give a summary of what we read yesterday. What we read today was the Volcano, Mout St. Helens. Then we had to read silently and after we read we were let free from SFA for the day. Then we were able to come back and finish our wordsearch, but first we had a lesson.
The lesson we had to do was a health lesson. We had a short question and answer and then he told the class we had an assignment and it was math art.
During the math art time period we had to be interupted for a lunch.
At lunch we were able to either eat breakfast or chicken nuggets. Of course we had a milk, dessert and a fruit. Then after we ate, we were able to talk until' Roemer came and pulled us out to come and do a lesson.
Today we learned about mangroves. We also studied our vocabulary. While we are on the log, lets see if you did study, can you spell pneumatophore with you eyes closed, and do you know the meaning? If you spelled it right you got it, and if you said "root snorkles," you got it.
Once we returned we had to finish our math art and after we finished we were able to play on computers, while we chose wrote the log. We don't have P.E nor Art or Music because some people have chorus practice.
Our day equals one large sum, FUN, and some learning with it! We didn't do a whole lot, but we learned a lot more then we did work, we don't have to do work to show how smart we are. Roemer is still haunting everybody in our dreams, in fact I went out and bought a dreamcatcher. (Betcha can't catch me, though! ~bpb )

 | we're still packing! |
Wow, we only have 2 more days until' FortDeSoto! Today we had to come in, unpack, and then get ready for SFA, as usual. Then we had to stand for the pledge, and then say the pledge. We were finally able to go to SFA for a little reading.
In SFA, first we read the book Volcano. Then we had to play "Stump the class" with our questions we found out reading this book. ( ONe person finally stumpped the class. ) Then we were able to go on computerts until' we had to go back to class, but first we sat there and stared at each other. We were finally able to go back to class.
Once we finally survived SFA,. we were sent back to class to a T- Shirt Contest. First we had to pick a picture of the PB's at Tallahassee or draw a picture on our own. Then we gave them to Mr. Roemer and he will decide which one he likes and we will all get a T-Shirt, a mug, and/or a mouse pad. We had to go to lunch.
We were saved by the lunching time. We had pinapple, sandwich (ham & cheese), corndogs and vegtables. After we finished eating we were able to talk. Then we had to leave for another (LOL)Lesson of Learning. (Just Kidding) But we really did have a lesson.
In our "Lesson of Learning," we learned about the mangroves at Fort Desoto and learned about the vocabulary and we also looked at pictures on the Internet. After we did our little lesson, we had to do more work. We could also do freetime.
We would have to have done all of our work and have our conduct card in. Then we had to pack-up and go to P.E. Pack-up was simple- all we did was pack-up.
Once again, I have no clue what we did in P.E. because we stayed in to do the Daily Log. The class came back and then we talked.
All around the class was good, but we did survive everything we have done. We were finally able to go home. Wait! Wait! Wait! I almost forgot the most exciting part of the day, the Daily Joke. I hope Roemer gets to go home and Rest in Peace, I finally got the wording right, but back to the joke. I hope we all get to go home and have the night off from yelling, screaming and best of all teaching. We will be able to stay away from Roemer. (Don't count on it, sgg! I'll haunt you in your dreams! ~bpb)

 | pb cleanup |
Finally it is Friday! I had a clean, but terrific Friday, because I knew by the end of the day, I would be at home for 2 days. As usual, we came in, unpacked, got ready for SFA, but then I graded. Then the class watched annoucements and then Roemer, talked and talked and then talked some more. (Just Kidding!) We had to go to SFA once more.
In SFA we don't have a R&R, but we did have to read. We read out of the book Come Back Salmon, but Roemer asked me to grade, so I graded with a partner. We graded until' the group reading was done, then we had to read silently. Then we had to go back to our homeroom class and then we had to pick up trash.
We picked up trash until' about 11:00, and then we had freetime until' lunch.
During lunch we ate, ate, and then ate some more until' we were finished and then we talked. Once we finished talking we had to leave to come back to the classroom and finish any other work that we didn't the day before.
We had freetime, (some of us) and the other people finished their work until' pack-up time at 1:55pm, so I wrote the log.
Art was cool, but a little out of control. We had to finish our stitchery project. Then Mrs. Azvedo (art teacher) started to talk about a artist. Then tht ended our day.
It ended our day for the most part. Mr. Roemer had a lecture, then Mrs. Neumann started the dismissal and Mr. Roemer said what has to be turned in. He gave everybody a high five, and then most people left. Oh yes, I almost forgot about the daily joke! Just thinking about spending another day with Roemer sends chills up my arm. (Just Kidding!) (If you think your arm is chilly now, wait until you see what happens to you at FD! HA! ~bpbp) I really don't understand what he is saying, but I do remember Fort DeSoto is the 24th and the 25th is Hero Report.

Alegna with a touch up by Gator!
Oh man, No more Tallahassee, Randy or Don! Today was a pretty cool day because all we did was writing and science. Mr. Roemer didn't really make us do much because Tuesday and Wednesday was the Tallahassee trip and we got back at about 7:35. Then some people didn't go home until everybody was gone.
First we went to S.F.A. at 8:55. I have no clue what we did in S.F.A. because I came in late today. After S.F.A., we talked about Fort DeSoto.
We talked about Fort DeSoto being called off because of people's behavior and because the time at the end of the year. (We talked about the possibility, but not because of behavior, but safety violations. We did reach a settlement, and we are going, remember???) After talking about Fort DeSoto, we went to lunch.
In lunch, we had a choice of eggrolls, chicken patty, or chicken fingers. Today, I was suprised that we had good food, except for the eggroll. And today, the only day we had good food, I wasn't here to get the food. After lunch, we had to write letters to the bus driver, Don, the tour guide, Randy, and the chaperones.
We did the letters and then started talking about the drout in Florida and ways to prevent people from using too much water. Someone in our class had an idea to bring all the salt water to the toilets in our bathrooms. Then Mr. Roemer gave us and assignmant to draw that persons idea.
We did the drawings, but some people didn't finish so we had to take it home for homework. Mr. Roemer then told us our homework, which is to see how many times the toilet flushes in your house. After we talked about our homework, it was time for P.E. (Phisical Education).
Once again, I have no clue what we did in P.E. because I stayed in to do theDaily Log. After P.E., we are probably going to Find that Lifesaver.
Thanks for listening to our pretty cool day, but we are still very tired and can't wait to go home. Finally it is almost time to go home, but we still have to play Find that Lifesaver. Oh yes, my favorite part, the daily joke! Oh My Gosh, the day is almost there, just a little longer, a little more, oh I can't stay here this long. In a way, we are glad the Tallahassee trip is over, because we had to stay with Roemer the whole time , and we even had a nightmare about staying with him another day. (You think that's a bad dream, wait until you see your finals! ~bpb) Just kidding we had a BLAST, but we are very tired. A special thanks to Mr. Roemer, all of the chaperones, Don, Randy and all of our other tour guides! Thanks, you guys really helped us out a lot!

 | the pb's do everything |
Tallahassee already!?! We only have one more boring day of school until' our Tallahassee trip. In school today we had to come in, unpack and get ready to go to SFA, most of us. Three of us had to go to the refridgerator in the cafeteria to get ready for Tallahassee Trip Tommorrow! Then we came back and the SFA bell rang.
In SFA we first had to check in the SFA, R&R's when we all showed our SFA R&R's we were told to read and leave Mr. Roemer alone so we read. He rushed about and we just sat there reading until' we were able to play on computers. Then we were told to go and play on the computers. SFA finally ended and we were told to, "get out of here" in other words "Bye!"
We came back to a lesson on Tallahassee. We were taught about how to behave and then we had a question. The question was "How many hours and minutes would it take to get to Tallahassee." Then we were able to go on computers until' lunch.
What we had for lunch was bar-b-que sandwich,
grilled cheese, or peanutbutter and jelly sandwich and of course a milk cookie and for a fruit orange. Then we were allowed to talk. The class was told to line up, and then go back to class.
Once we came back we had to learn more about Tallahssee! We had a pop quiz on all the rules. The quiz was 7 questions long, and were all very easy. Then we had free time.
In free time we sat here and did the log, most of the time. Then we were able to play on computers too. We played on computers until' we had to pack-up and go to lunch.
I will update this later. (hmmmm... ~bpb)

 | preparing for the end |
The week is just about over, but not quite. I can't believe it, we have another test along with a quiz, how unfair. This week was very simple, but it could be more. Today we did the usual, we came in, unpacked and then we had to get ready for SFA. We left for SFA as the third bell rang and Mr. Roemer finished rambling on about something.
In SFA we had our computer specialist Ms. McCollugh teach us because Mr.Roemer had to go do something for one of the kids in our class. Instead of doing what we please we had to read the book Come Back Salmon. We either had to read with a group of 2 or 3. Then we had to write a paragraph of a fishes point of view. Then we had to finish what we were doing and leave for a social studies lesson.
Wow, we finally finished the book! Today we read about our country today. It isn't a long chapter, but it wasn't fun. (what we read.) We didn't read the whole chapter, but we did argue. We argued about the most important chapter, and person. I fing The Struggle for equal Rights, and the person was Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks. I enjoied doing this, I wish we could have done this before! Then we had to go to lunch.
Today at lunch we had chickin fingers, and a fruit slald that was very good.We also talked and had fun with all of our friends.
Then after that we had a Spelling Test that was not very long,we omly did 6 words (Are you sure about that? ~bpb) and that was our Spelling Test for this week. We also had to take a SS pop quiz, it was easy!!
We ended our day with free time and then PE. Big D and myself stayed inside to do the log. Then Big D packed while I loaded some pictures, that took 10 minutes. Then we were able to play on computers until' the class came back.
We had a pretty simple day, but at least we had some fun! Roemer can't rust, and I can't stay home Monday, because of Tallahassee, so see you Monday, Foamer I mean Roemer! (Watch it, Tator! ~pbp)

Finally there is only 2 more days of school until' we go to TALLAHSSEE! I never thought we were going to make it, but we did! Today we all came in half dead, and we had to turn in our DARE I Say (essay) then we had to get ready to leave for SFA. We had to put everything for SFA on top of our desk, so we could leave for SFA. Then we had to watch annoucements. We watched annoucements and then Mr. Roemer started to blab about something, I forget what he said. (JK just kidding)Then we had to go to SFA.
In SFA Mr. Roemer had to do something considering TALLAHASSEE while we had to read. We read until' he finished. After he finished we checked in R&R's and then we had to read out of a science book. A & I Graded, Lucky us!! Then we tried to stump Roemer, some people did. (He didn't read the chapter.) Then we had to go back to our homeroom class and learn about The Cold War Ending!
Uh Oh here comes the Vietnam War! When we began reading we learned about how Richard Nixon's becoming a president, and how in 1973 Nixon signed a peace treaty agreement with leaders from North and South Vietnam. More than 57,000 U.S troops, 300,000 troops were wounded , and of 5,000 nurses 9 died. Nixon was almost impeached because of burglary, but quit before he could be impeached. After we finished reading out of the SS book, we had to go to lunch.
In lunch we had some pretty gross food! After we ate either our nachos, chicken or salad, we were able to talk. Then we had to dump our trays so we could leave.
After lunch we came back to a little bit of fun. We came back and had some free-time and then we had to have some Guidence.
During Guidence, the class was a little talkitive. Mrs. Fisher came in, and then she handed out the sheets of positive words and we talked about what people think the hardest thing is, Making friends. Then we had to talk about soultions for Making Friends. Then she left and we had SPRING CLEANING
During spring cleaning time we had to pack, pack and pack and then pack some more. I wrote the log.
The end of the day is near, but we will still have to pack-up, clean-up and get ready to go. Then we will have to go home forever! I WISH! I hope we have as good of a day as we did today, tommorrow! Oh Ya! I almost forgot the joke! Silly Me?!? Roemer do we have to come to school tommorrow? I know, I know, the answer is "NO!" but you haven't heard me1 Oh Man! "Please!" (Of course you don't have to come to school, g-grrl. I'll just give you a zero on the pop quiz. I knew you wouldn't mind! ~bpp)

 | the pb's: field day 2000 |
WoW! We have Field Day! Today was a pretty simple day. We came in,unpacked, and then realized we weren't doing any work today. We were in the class and then we had to work on the PB letter, Hero Report, or DARE I say.(ESSAY!) Once the clock struck 9:30 we had to go to the media center to watch a DEVIL RAYSplayer.
We went to the media and then Steve Goodson talked about his life and then his life along with the Devil Rays. Then we were able to ask him questions. Some questions were retarded, but he still answered them. I can't believe it! He hit 4 homeruns in last season. Now, we get to have some fun.
During field day we had 20 stops and 3 rest areas in all. Then we had to eat lunch at 12:00 and then finished at 12:35. Then we had 10 more stops to go, until' 2:15. Oh man! Now we hav eto stop all of the fun.
We had to pick up trash, and then we had to come back and do whatever as we looked at pictures. We had to pack-up at about 2:40 and then Mr. Roemer began to talk. I don't know what he talked about, but he was just blabbing and blabbing (I gave a secret word and if you remember it you don't have to come to school again this year! ~bpb). We had to play a spelling bee before we left. I am sorry this is so short, but we did this after we left so it has to be done quickly. Then we had to go home and leave Roemer to rust in peace.(R.I.P.) this time I am not joking! (Ha Ha just kidding.) (Watch it! I'm not that old! ~bpb) Ok! Fine I have to leave, so ta-ta.

 | on the computers | Oh No More Tests! Once we came in we were ready for SFA as we studied for our tests. We have to take a capitols, and Map and globe skills. The capitols were EASY but the map and globe skills were HARD! Mr. Roemer started to talk about Tallahassee, and then we had to go to SFA.
In SFA we finally stopped using the science books and we read Bringing the rain to Kapiti. it has a very happy ending, I am not going to tell you, you have to read it yourself. The whole time it was talking about Ki-Pat standing on 1 leg tring to feed his cows with rain and beautiful, nutricious grass. Then we had to silent read and read while Mr. Roemer left. Then we were able to go on computers once Mr. Roemer came back. Then we threw the balls and he threw back, but the SFA bell rang and we had to go .
Then we came back and we talked more about TALLAHASSEE. We mostly talked about the load up. Then we had to talk about all of the tours we have to go on. After we finished we had to go to lunch.
In lunch we had pizza and milk with dessert. Then we talked. The person I was sitting next to was hillarious! They were talking about the movie SuperStar. We dragged ourself back and took more Tests!
We took two states and capitals and 1 map and globe skills. The map and globe was HARD!! The other two were EASY! Then we had to read until everybody finished. Once everybody finished, we graded each others. We had to switch to the left. Then we had free time.
When free time was happening, I wrote this log! Free time isn't over, but we have pack-up and then art.

Wow! Like I said yesterday "The week is almost over!" When we came in, we sat down, unpacked and got ready for SFA. Mr. Roemer came in and a hush went over the classroom, he said, "Good Morning class!" We replied "Good Morning Mr. Roemer!" Then he talked a little more and the first SFA bell rang.
We were off! Mr. Roemer's SFA started by checking in R&R's and then reading our science books. Today we read about the human eye. It has some GROSS parts, if you don't like learning about ears, eyes and systems. Then we read for a little bit and then had freetime. We were able to play on computers, but some of my friends and I chose to grade! The last SFA bell rang and then we went to our regular classroom.
Tests! Tests! Tests! All we do anymore is tests. Todays wasn't a PIAP or FCAT, it was a Lexile. We had to go over to the computer lab little by little and take a reading test. As we came back we found a math fractions worksheet and we worked on our map. Then we had to leave for lunch.
In line I was able to take pictures. In the lunchroom I was able to take pictures too. We walked to the lunchroom without Mr. Roemer, adn we did do a good job. Then we went through the line, grabbed our food, and sat down to eat. We had corndog, grilled cheese, and as always milk with dessert. After we finished eating, I took pictures and talked to the class.
We came back and covered the chapter WORLD WAR 2! we covered it all in one day. There wasn't a whole lot about it, but the United States waas on a winning team. World War 2 was the war when the Atomic Bomb was invented. Then Mr. Roemer passed out a math worksheet and we worked on it.
Then we had to stop and trow. First we packed-up and then we played a game. Mr. Roemer threw a soft ball at some people and then we were able to throw it back.
As usual I was able to stay in to write the log, while the rest of the class went out to P.E. I wrote the log and then chitter-chatted with some people.
Once the class comes back we will probally throw the balls at him again. Perfect game! Hey! If you get hurt you will get to stay home tommorrow, can I stay home too? (Well, you're not getting anything after hiding the ball from me, so there!) Uh, So unfair, I know your answer is no!(You're a psychic! ~bpb)

 | D.A.R.E. Officer | Uh, no more D.A.R.E! Today we were a bad class in D.A.R.E. We were bad in some areas, as a class, but some of us were good. Today we did the usual, we came in, sat down, un-packed and got ready for SFA. The third bell rang, and we had to leave for SFA (some of us).
In SFA we only did one thing. READ!! We first read out of a science book, and made up questions to give a test. We read two chapters today. We learned about the nervous system and our ears. Every test we did, we had to make up more questions. Then we had to silent read until' SFA was over. The fourth bell rang and we had to return to our homeroom class.
We ruined the rest of our D.A.R.E. classes. It was horrible! Luckly the whole class wasn't part of it. Officer Hicks, got really upset at a few students. We started a lesson, but soe rude students interupted him. He became really mad at these students and then he threatened to never teach D.A.R.E. here again. We would still graduate, but he wouldn't teach it. He left and then we had to go to lunch.
In lunch we went through the line, and then grabbed our food. We sat down, ate and then began to talk. We had Chicken patty, Chicken fingers, and a potato. Then we returned to class, and Mrs. Fisher came.
When Mrs. Fisher came, we had to stop everything and do a lesson with her. She came, answered some Middle School questions and then we had a project. We had to write positive words about people in the class. Some people didn't want to do the positive words about people.
Chours member left for Chours, and we had free time, we choice to write the log.
The class went to P.E.
We were in a lot of trouble today, but some kids were good. We got a lecture after D.A.R.E. and we will get another once the class comes back to the classroom. Oh No! It's Terrible! We have to come to school tommorrow! (you think you're bummed? imagine how i feel!!! ~bpb) Oh Well the week is almost over!

 | the best line in the world | Today was pretty much a free day. All we did was social
studies, and math and then the rest was free time. (We
should of been studing). First we came in and the annoying
S.F.A. bell rang. So we went to our S.F.A. class. (I went to
Mr. Roemer's class). First we played a game and Mr. Roemer
gave you a word and if you were the first person, you had to
say that word. Then the hard part. If you wern't the first
person to go, you had to say all the peoples words in front
of you, and then remember your word. All of the words Mr.
Roemer gave you were related, so it was easier than you
think. (But you have to have a good memory to do well). The
game lasted a long time, and it wen on forever. Then we had
to read until S.F.A. was over. After S.F.A., we did math.
Mr. Roemer taught us how to find the missing number in a
fraction. Then we had to do a math page. After the math, we
learned how to do our writing homework. For our homework
tonight, we have to interview an adult and they have to
answer the questions we ask about their fifth-grade. Mr.
Roemer answered the questions we came up with and he showed
us an example on the computer. Then we had freetime, but we
should of been studing. After the review for the writing
homework, we had to go to lunch. Today, like always, we had
really gross food. We had a choice of peanut butter and
jelley sandwich, or a chicken fingers. GROSS! After the
gross lunch, we did social studies. In social studies, we
learned about the hard times around 1929 and how the stock
market crashed. It left many starving, and some stores went
out of business. Then Franklin D. Roosevelt had The New
Deal. That was when new government programs were set up to
help bussinesses, farmers, and the unemployed. That chapter
was pretty interesting. After social studies, we had to go
to music. In music, all we did was take notes, because of
last time. Our class got a little out of hand, so now, at
least for today, we had to take notes. We took notes about
all the notes in music. Next week we will have a test on
what we learned today. It was pretty easy, but it is hard to
remember (build a house! ~bpb). After music, it was time to pack up and go home!
After we packed up, we all went home. Luckily, we lasted
through the day. Thanks for listening! Bye!!!

 | the penny game - data collection | Wow!We have almost made our goal! Tommorrow we should make it. Today we covered a lot in Social Studies and learned reviewed math for our exam. When we came in we saw a folder on our desk, (some people's names were mispelled.Somebody put the folders together for Mr. Roemer.) and we saw the usual PB Weekly. We turned on the annoucements a little late, but at least we made it, then we watched annoucements and did our Scholastics. We were finally saved by the bell!
In SFA we didn't silent read, we read out of our science book. We learned about the nervous system and reflexes. We learned blinking, taking a breath, breathing and swallowing were all reflexes and everything else is something you don't do automatically. Then we played a penny game. To play the penny game, you have to put a penny on your elbow, let it fall and then you have to catch it. You have to have quick reflexes! We ha to stop and read. We were saved by the bell, again.
We came back to our folders. We had to go over all of the Tallahassee and Fort DeSoto rules. (There are so many rules, how can we remember them all? - practice! ~BPB - ) Mr. Roemer's biggest rules are no feeding the seagulls and don't leave your chaperone. Then we had to go to our health books.
During health we had to learn about the digestive system, right before lunch. Then we had to read the chapter and anwser questions 3-4. (I wasn't hungry during lunch!!) We came back and did a short math exam practice.
The math exam practice was on the web and Mr. Roemer went over most of the questions with us. It was HARD! Now we have to learn about more health! The digestive system!
We had to learn more about the digestive system, the small intestine, the nutrients the cells, peristalsis, enzyme, gallbladder, and the pancreas.(Gross!) We worked until'PE. Then we left for PE (most of us!)
In PE we stayed in to do the log,as usual! Then we finished and graded. The class hasn't come back yet, but I believe we are going to play a game.
The class had a great day. We learned many great facts on S.S and almost made it to WORLD WAR 1! We have 1 more chapter to go!!
